Tom is a 3rd generation funeral director and embalmer with over 50 years experience in funeral service. He is a Durham native and a 1970 graduate of Durham High School. He also attended Fork Union Military Academy and is a graduate of Indiana College of Mortuary Science. He also attended the National Foundation of Funeral Service. He is active in civic organizations such as the Triangle Shrine Club and Oak Grove Masonic Lodge. He is a former member of the Durham City Council and the NC Funeral Directors Association and National Funeral Directors Association. He is married to Mary Carter Hudson and has a daughter, Brooke Hudson.
