Neala Kay Sloan Utley

DURHAM  Mrs. Neala Kay Sloan Utley, 60, of 6900 Mt Hermon Church Road, Lot 54, died at UNC Hospital on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Mrs. Utley was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late David Ross Sloan and Wanda Tyndalle Sloan. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a very special lady who will be greatly missed and was loved much. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Tony Gail Brezlon and Elizabeth Hamilton.She is survived by her husband, Herbert Earl Utley; three sons, David Faircloth, Charles Lamar Rigsbee and Neil Wayne Faircloth; one stepson, Herbert Earl Utley, Jr.; step-daughter, Jamie LeAnn Utley; sister, Bobbie Lou Penny and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church at 3864 Guess Road in Durham, officiated by Mr. Gary Neal. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
