Agnes Marie Turner

Agnes Marie Turner, 94, of Durham, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024. She was born November 14, 1929 in Selma, NC to the late Christopher and Tebie Turner.

In addition to her parents Agnes is preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Brady; brothers, Pete, Chuck and Leonard Turner and her beloved sister and best friend, Doris Breeden.

Ms. Turner was a longtime member of the Gospel Center. She loved to travel, especially with her sister Doris. Agnes enjoyed working in her yard growing beautiful flowers.  She also enjoyed cooking, while being especially known for her great collards and broccoli casserole.  Agnes will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jones; grandchildren, Shannon Munns and Jeffrey Andrews; great granddaughter, Kayla Caraway (Jeffery); great great grandchildren, Jaxon, Westin and Oaklee Caraway; long time care giver and special family member, Emmah Mungai and other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Hudson Funeral Home.  Prior to the service the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Officiating will be Reverend Dale Brooks. A private interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Durham, NC.
