Alfred Wayne Medlin

DURHAM- Alfred “Wayne” Medlin, 79, of  Durham passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015. He was a resident of  Durham  most of his life, the son of the late Earnest A. Medlin and Adell Johnson Medlin. Wayne was a member of Plainview Baptist Church and Redwood Ruritan Club. He liked to hunt, gardening and spending time with his friends.Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Tim Medlin; daughter, Marla Medlin, sister, Joyce Willis.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Frances Medlin; son, Dennis Medlin (Linda) of Durham; brother, Tony Medlin of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Lauren Medlin of Butner; Caitlin Wiggins (Matt) of  High Point.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Plainview Baptist Church on Cheek Rd. Pastor Doug Nalley will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Chris Taylor, George Woods, Ronnie Haigler, David Pennell, Dewitt Rice and Jasper Taylor.
