Alice Curles Gilbert

CREEDMOOR  Mrs. Alice Faye Curles Gilbert, 77, of 714 Northern Falls Rd, died on Friday, July 3, 2015. She lived in Hillsborough before moving to Creedmoor.

Mrs. Gilbert was born in Person County to the late William McKenley Curles and Alean Maitland Wesley. She was a former employee of the Structure House. She loved fishing and crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Gilbert and a sister, Rosey Lee Guy.

She is survived by her three sons, Frank Davis, Bobby Hewett and Tracy Gilbert; three daughters, Wanda Hart, Brenda Newcomb and Linda Davis; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. J. D. Tew will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Daniel Davis, Kenneth Davis, Tracy Gilbert, Ronnie Hart, David Newcomb and Travis Hewett.
