MORRISFT MYERS Mrs. Alice Owens Morris, 85, of Ft. Myers, Florida went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Alice was born in Vance County , the daughter of the late Sam and Elizabeth Owens and the widow of Howard Obie Morris. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband three brothers, Sam Riley Owens, Thomas Richard Owens and Franklin Douglas Owens.Alice is survived by three sons, Walter Howard (Brenda) of Durham, Ricky Owens (Marie) of Mebane and Sam David Morris (Myra) of Cape Coral, Florida, with whom she made her home with for the past 71/2 years; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Victor Owens of Kentucky and one sister, Joyce Cleo Owens Harris of Henderson and numerous other relatives.Graveside services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Person Memorial Cemetery in Roxboro. Rev. Cindy Lister will officiate. The family will be at the home of her son, Walter Morris, 818 Carter Avenue in Durham.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft.
