Angela Goodwin Gonzalez

Angela Goodwin Gonzalez, 65, of Jacksonville, North Carolina was called home on Friday, May 17, 2024, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington NC.  She was born April 21, 1959 in Durham, NC to Norman and Ester Goodwin.

Mrs. Gonzalez will be long remembered as a loving mother and wife. She was a kind woman with a beautiful heart to give and share. She was also very supportive of family and friends.  

Angela is preceded death by her father, Norman Goodwin.

Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her mother, Ester Goodwin; husband, Matias Gonzalez; children, Christopher Gonzalez of Jacksonville, NC, Nicholas Gonzalez of Tampa, FL, Jessica Hearn of Riedsville, NC and Travis Hearn also of Reidsville, NC; one brother, Jerry Goodwin of Durham, NC and seven grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC. The Rev. Hugh O’Shields will officiate.  The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 3:50 P.M. and following the service until 6:00 P.M.
