Ann Clayton Marshall

DURHAM- Mrs. Ann Ware Clayton Marshall, 81, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Mrs. Marshall was born on April 16, 1940 to Wright and Mabel Clayton in Durham, NC. She loved working on her home, especially redecorating, and working in her rose garden. Ann loved music with beautiful voices and going to the beach. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Wayne Marshall in 2011; brothers, Frank “Dink” Carver, David Clayton, Jerry Clayton, and Joseph Clayton.

Mrs. Marshall is survived by her sons, Billy, Dennis, and Michael Marshall; daughter, Joni Inscoe; brother, Charles “Chuck” Clayton; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her niece, Teresa Crittenton.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Flowers are acceptable.
