DURHAM- Mrs. Anna Jean Taylor, 85, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion.

Mrs. Taylor was born November 25, 1931 in Harnett Co. to the late Joseph and Eldrie Horton. She worked for Durham Public Schools for over 30 years as a Cafeteria Worker. In her younger years, she was a devoted member of Layman’s Chapel Baptist Church for many years where she sang in the choir. The most important thing in Jeans life was her family. Mrs. Taylor was a loving, caring, and devoted mother and grandmother to her family. She will be remembered as a wonderful and loving person.

Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Daniel Lashley; husbands, Bernard Dupree Lashley, Claude William Frazier, Sr., and John George Taylor, Sr.; parents, Joseph and Eldrie Horton; brother, Joseph Leo Horton.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sons, Ricky Lashley (Debbie), Gerald Lashley (Teresa), Claude Frazier, Jr. (Kim), John George Taylor, Jr. (Gwendolyn), and Joseph Taylor (Jill); 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and other loving family and friends.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Shady Grove Cemetery, Shady Grove Church Rd, New Hill, NC 27562. Officiating will be Rev. Hugh O’Shields. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Hudson Funeral Home.
