DURHAM- Annie Mae Allen, 91, of Durham died on Sunday, December 16, 2012. She was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Everett A. Frazier and Bettie Cullom Frazier. She was a homemaker, loved riding, yard sales and fishing. She loved going to Mama Dips on Sunday to have chicken dumplins. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Dempsey Allen, Sr., three brothers, Thomas Frazier, Marvin Frazier and Monroe Frazier, one sister, Betty Ruth Strickland.She is survived by three sons, Jack Dempsey Allen Jr. and companion Patsy Lloyd of Durham; Tommy Lee Allen and Linda of Sanford; Danny Carl Allen of Hillsborough; one brother, James Frazier of Durham; two grandchildren, Christopher Todd Allen and Chad Lee Allen, two great-grandchildren, Sadie Allen and Olivia Allen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 noon at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jim Baggett will officiate. Burial will be in Sykes Family Cemetery on New Light Rd. in Wake Forest. Pallbearers will be Mike Dean, Ricky Dean, Steve Craun, Brant Massey, Elmer Smith and Norman Smith. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:00 noon, one hour prior to the services at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers acceptable.
