Archie Bertram Stubblefield

DURHAM- Mr. Archie Bertram Stubblefield, 69, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020.
Mr. Stubblefield was born on July 12, 1950 to Harry and Lessie Nell Stubblefield in Durham, NC. He retired after 30 years with Comfort Engineers as a HVAC fabricator. Archie proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard Reserve. He was an avid UNC fan and loved southern, country, and classic rock. Archie loved his children and his sweet granddaughter, who he was especially proud of and had such a positive influence on. He will be remembered as a man with a big heart, a wonderful father and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known him.
Mr. Stubblefield was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lessie Nell Stubblefield; and brothers, Jack and H.P. Stubblefield. He is survived by his daughter, Krissy Summey (Tom), and Jessica Stubblefield; brothers, Claude Stubblefield (Linda), and Pat Stubblefield (Terry); grandchildren, Madelyn Spencer; former wife, Becky Emory; grand-dogs, Charlie and Girlfriend; and other loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor David Bolick.
