Audrey Kay Evans

DURHAM- Mrs. Audrey Kay Evans, 76, passed away on October 10, 2021.

Mrs. Evans was born April 6, 1945, to the late Harry and Ludella Evans in Durham, NC. Audrey was a faithful member at Lowes Grove Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a very active member of the flower decoration committee. As a Sunday School teacher, she loved educating and teaching children. She helped numerous children learn how to read.  Audrey loved gardening, traveling, cooking, reading, and genealogy. She will be remembered as being outgoing and always willing to serve her community. Audrey will be missed by many.

Audrey is survived by her brother, Phillip Evans; nephew, Henry Evans; and niece, Mary Hannah Evans.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Lowes Grove Baptist Church Rose Garden Fund, 4430 S Alston Ave, Durham, NC 27713.

A private service will be held at a later date.
