Augustus Gus Goss, Jr.

DURHAM-Mr. Augustus “Gus” Graham Goss, Jr. 87 of Durham, died on Sunday, January 1, 2012. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Augustus Goss, Sr. and Lorena McGhee Goss. Mr. Goss was a member of Cedar Fork Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister Edna Mitchell, three brothers, Mack Goss, Nick Goss and Bobby Goss.He is survived by two sisters, Merita Clegg and Flora Mae Carver both of Durham. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Donnie Cash and Rev. Spencer Chamberlain will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. The family would like to give a special thanks to Carver Living Center for Mr. Goss’s care.
