Aureliano Ramos

Aureliano Ramos, 89, of Durham, North Carolina peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. He was born in El Salvador on June 25, 1935, to the late Gregorio and Secundina Ramos.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 8 siblings.

Mr. Ramos was a Mason for many years in El Salvador where he built beautiful new homes. Aureliano enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes, corn and beans. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Ramos is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Lucila Ramos; children, Silas Ramos, Leonando Ramos, Emelina Ramos, Arturo Ramos, Maribel Ramos, Esau Ramos, Dimas Ramos, Walter Ramos and Gloria Ramos; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other loving family members.

The Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 810 W. Chapel Hill St., Durham, NC.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham, NC.  Father Hugh Macsherry will officiate.
