Barbara Anne Bobbitt Jeans

DURHAM- Barbara Anne Bobbitt Jeans, 86, born November 22, 1928, died November 27, 2014.  Barbara went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thanksgiving Day. She was one of thirteen children born to Wayne Richard and Ila Blanche Bobbitt. She attended Northgate Chapel and Gospel Center and was the best homemaker in the world.

Barbara is survived by her husband of sixty six years Stafford Davis Jeans. She is the mother to Brenda Jeans Mann (Randall) William David Jeans and Thomas Wayne Jeans (Tamara), grandmother to Jeffrey Adams Mann (Lynnette), Anne-Marie Jeans Mann Hawthorne, Alexander Ryan Jeans and Cody Wayne Jeans, and great-grandmother to Zachary and Ashtyn Hawthorne and Meredith and Jason Mann. Her brother Wayne Bobbitt (Anndala), and sister Pairie Leigh Hatchcock and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Greg Allison and Rev. Jimmy Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
