DURHAM- Barbara Ann Gilliam, 64, of Durham passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016. She was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late William Henry Browning and Ruby Irene Ward Browning. Barbara was an Administrative Assistant for over thirty years for EPL. She liked to make crafts for her family and friends. Barbara loved animals especially dogs. Barbara will be remembered for her kindness that she shared with everyone blessed to have known her. She was preceded in death by her son, Furman Jeffery Gilliam.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty seven years Furman “Tinker” Gilliam; son, Kevin Gilliam and spouse Wayne Moore; grandchildren, Colin Gilliam and Cameron Gilliam; her brother, William Richard Browning and wife Sue; and her sister, Joyce Browning Yancey.
Mausoleum Service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Bro. Blair R. Browning, Sr. will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Any flowers are acceptable, but Poinsettias were her favorite. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
