Barbara Ausley Lynn

Barbara Ausley Lynn, 91, of Raleigh passed away February 28, 2025. Barbara was born December 31, 1933, in Durham, North Carolina to the late John A. Ausley and Helen F. Chaffin Ausley.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Samuel J. Lynn and a brother John W. Ausley.

Mrs. Lynn is survived by her sons, Philip W. Lynn partner David B. Haskins of Raleigh, Keith J. Lynn and wife Michelene of Durham; grandson K. Chris Lynn and wife Kathryn: great grandchildren, Scarlett, Ainsley, and Zoey of Cary; and sister-in-law Christine Ausley of Durham.

In recent years, Barbara was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, and previously, she was a dedicated member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She cherished traveling with family and especially to Emerald Isle and found joy in the fellowship of the Bethesda Primer Timers Senior Group. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

A visitation for Barbara will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Hudson Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Tim Wheeler and Reverend Hugh O’Shields.

A private interment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum.
