Barbara Pearce Miles

HILLSBOROUGH- Mrs. Barbara Pearce Miles, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 23, 2021.

Mrs. Miles was born October 19, 1945 to the late Sam and Maxine Pearce in Wake Forest, NC. Barbara grew up attending and was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church. Later in her life, she became a member at Grace Reformed Baptist Church for over 10 years. Through her church years she was always involved in Sunday School, where she loved ministering and teaching children. Barbara was a selfless, compassionate, loving woman and always took the chance to help anyone in need.

Family held an important role in Barbara’s life. Being a Mema, she loved being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking all them to the Museum of Life and Science and even took her Sunday School children at times. Her other favorite place to take her grandchildren was to Duke Park, where as an avid gardener, she could also enjoy the beautiful flowers. She enjoyed family dinners, celebrating birthdays, and spending time as a family. Barbara will be remembered as a faithful Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Larry Wayne Miles; and sister, Virginia Harper.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Miles Miller; her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Nathaniel Miller, Benjamin Miller (Brianna) and their daughter Lily-Ann, Brandon Miller, Matthew Miller, Mikayla Miller, and Timothy Miller; as well as other loving family members.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Mebane, NC.
