Barbara Staton Johnson

MT OLIVE Barbara Staton Johnson, 57, of 4938 Hwy 13 South, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
Barbara was born in Lynchburg, Va. to the late Robert E. Staton and Rosey Curles Guy Powell. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Johnson.
She is survived by two sons, Arvin Ray Johnson Jr. and Daniel Lee Johnson; one daughter, Retha Johnson; brother, Glen Staton; three sisters, Cindy Dodd, Brenda Broadway and Rosa Smith; 10 grandchildren, Renee Johnson, Katlyn Johnson, Stacy Johnson, Miranda Apel, Amber Carthen, Lilly Johnson, Damien Johnson, Haven Johnson, Brandi Johnson, Brittany Gurgainous and 4 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at South Granville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends after the service at the home of her son, Arvin Johnson, 1202 Adams Mountain Road, Stem, NC 27581.
