Barbara Smith Wagner

DURHAM- Mrs. Barbara Smith Wagner, 60, passed away on September 26, 2021.

Mrs. Wagner was born September 28, 1960, to the late Howard and Frances Smith. Barbara was born and raised in Durham, NC, where she attended Southern High School. For the last 16 years, she has lived in Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Wagner was a lifetime member of Bethel Christian Center. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, board games, and dominos. You could always find a camera or shopping bag in her hand, as she loved photography and shopping.

Barbara was whole hearted, funny, loving, caring, eccentric, meticulous, organized, considerate and free spirited. She was the balance of the family and her beautiful qualities will be deeply missed forever.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her sister, Dollie Dudley; and step-son, Brandon Husketh.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Randell Dail Wagner; daughter, Brianna Gayle Wagner; sons, Randell Jacob Wagner and Joshua Dail Wagner; daughter-in-law, Anne Colyn Wagner; grandson, Caden Alexander Wagner; sisters, Betty Mathis (Charles) and Linda Wilkins; grand dog, Elsa; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

A visitation will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Don Westbrook. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
