Belita Chandler Campbell

Mrs. Belita Chandler Campbell, 70, of Durham, died on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.
Mrs. Campbell was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Coy William Chandler and Ruby Castleberry Chandler. She graduated from Southern High School and retired from Bell & Howell. Belita was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was very involved in church activities and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Thomas Chandler; sisters, Margie Durham, Barbara Ann Freeman, Helen Broughton, Joyce Rigsbee and Linda Basden.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Campbell of Cary; three brothers, Melvin Chandler (Ruth) of Durham, Douglas Chandler (Helena) of Ohio and Ricky Chandler (Cecile) of Virginia; sister, Shirley Randleman of Greensboro and granddaughter, Nicole Cartner.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 17th at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
