DURHAM- Mr. Benjamin Aaron Saypol, 44, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017.
Mr. Saypol was born November 13, 1972 in Washington D.C. He was the founder of Theater Delta, a nationally recognized interactive theater company. He was a pioneer in the field, an ambassador of social justice, and had an uncanny ability to develop deep and meaningful relationships with anyone.
Mr. Saypol was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Saypol; stepfather, Rabbi Oscar Groner.
Mr. Saypol is survived by his wife, C. Lyn Dickinson; mother, Judyth Groner; step-daughter, Ella Dickinson; brother and sister-in-law, Joshua and Dori Saypol; nephews, Zachary and Dylan Saypol; and beloved companions, Tucker and Madeira.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Judea Reform Congregation, 1933 W. Cornwallis Road, Durham, NC 27705. Burial will follow at the Judea Reform cemetery in Chapel Hill, limited to family and close friends. Following burial, everyone is welcome to gather at Ben, Lyn, and Ella’s house, 4203 Hulon Drive, Durham, NC 27705.
