Benjamin "Ben" Smith

Benjamin Noland Smith, 48, passed away at his home on July 28, 2023.

Benjamin was born on July 13, 1975 in Durham, NC. He was the only child born to Patricia Spell Smith and Benny Allen Smith.
 

After graduating from Southern High School in 1993, he worked various positions from driving a wrecker to a long-haul driver. Benjamin was a lover of animals and had a special gift for training them. One of his greatest loves and losses was his best friend, Bella. 

In addition to his parents, Benjamin is survived by his loving aunts, Cathy Spell Miller (Denny) and Teresa Spell (David Hales);  his uncle, Waylon “Buster” Smith (Debbie) and aunt Carolyn Smith Cobb, as well as many dear cousins, extended family and friends that mourn his loss.  He is also survived by half siblings, Lisa Smith Wagoner and Jeff Smith.

Benjamin’s remains will be scattered in a place of his choosing in a private event. The family requests any donations be made to a charity of your choosing.
