Betty Carden Calder

DURHAM Mrs. Betty Carden Calder, 70, of 3620 Westminster Ave., died on Wednesday, November 9, 2011.Mrs. Calder was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Bennie and Lois King Carden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Calder; son, Michael Calder and two sisters, Mary Sergent and Joyce McClenny.She is survived by her son, Steve Calder of Durham; one daughter, Donna Calder of Wilson and a sister, Rachel McCorkle of Creedmoor.Memorial services will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, with a visitation following until 9 p.m. The family will be at the home, 3620 Westminster Ave. at other times.
