Betty Lou Gallagher Williams

DURHAM Mrs. Betty Lou Gallagher Williams, 66, of 615 Patterson Road, died on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
Mrs. Williams was born in West Virginia to the late Andrew and Amy Hammonds Gallagher. She was a homemaker and owned and operated Four Points Diner. She loved cooking and making people happy. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Gallagher, Bob Gallagher, Jack Gallagher and a sister, Gayle Chandler.
She is survived by loving, devoted and best friend for 47 years, husband, David “Clinton” Williams; son, Steve Gallagher and wife, Angie of Durham; daughter, Tina Blanchard and husband, Buddy of Durham; brother, Bud Gallagher of Roxboro; sisters, Nancy Bryant of Creedmoor, Debbie Chandler of Durham, Janie Averette of Kitrell, Patsy Fleshman and Fran Parrish both of Richmond Va., Shelby Gue of W. Virginia, Juanita Mango of New Jersey, Linda Pridgen of Richmond Va., and Delores G. Reeves of Greensboro; grandchildren, Amber Hedrick and husband, Cody, Lauren Blanchard, Cody Blanchard, Angel Gallagher and Alexis Gallagher; great-grandchild, Madison Hedrick.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor Johnny Godair will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Flowers are acceptable.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home, 629 Patterson Road.
