Betty Sue Appel, age 63, passed away on January 28, 2022.
Sue was born on February 25, 1958, a daughter of the late Rev. Harold and Betty Long Wills.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her son, David Lee Appel; brother, Roy Wills; and great-grandson, Noah Lee Hall.
Sue is survived by her husband, Kenneth Chester Appel, Jr.; son, Michael Todd Going (Jamie); daughters, Sheri Stephenson (Brandon), Kenni Alisha Watkins (Jeff), and Destani Lee Hall (Luke); brothers, Mack Wills (Melinda), Bryant Wills (Cathy), and Dwight Wills (Betsy); sisters, Ann Fisher, Ruby Stone, and Wanda Wills Bell (Lewis); brother-on-law, Wade Stone; grandchildren, Rebecca Cipperley (Kyle), Cameron Stephenson (Jordan), Dylan Going (Kalysa), Ethan Stephenson (Savannah), Savannah Going, and Haley Lee Watkins; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Cipperley, Madeline Cipperley, Parker Stephenson, Ian Going, and Walker Cipperley.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Scott Wills, Tony Fisher, Carson Daughtry, Ethan Stephenson, Dylan Going, Mark Wills, and Matthew Wills, Jr. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Cameron Stephenson and Jeremy Fisher.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Greg Long, Pastor Roy Stallings, and Pastor Stuart Aycock. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
