MANNCHAPEL HILL Mrs. Billie Arnell Mann, 58, of 600 Durant Street, Apt. 302, died at Duke University Medical Center on Friday, April 23, 2010.Mrs. Mann was born on January 20, 1952 in Oceanside, California. She was employed as a RN in Neuroscience at Duke University Medical Center. She attended Tidewater Community College (Sociology) from 1970-1972, Norfolk General School of Radiology (R.T.) in Norfolk, VA of 1972-1975, Tidewater Community College (Nursing) from 1981-1983, St. Joseph’s College in North Windham, ME, Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI, Graceland University in Lamoni, IA in 1999, where she received her BSN in Nursing and Touro University International in Los Alamitos, CA ( Philosphophy of Health Science Phd. She received many Certifications and Honors and Awards. She was Certified as a Radiological Technologist, Rehabilitation Nurse, Neuroscience Nurse, Advance Trauma Nursing and certified in Human Participant Protection Education for Research Teams. She was preceded in death by her father, William Amos Mann.She is survived by her partner, Kurt Ewald vomOrde of Chapel Hill and her mother, Peggy Joyce Steele Mann of Tampa, Fla.There will be no local funeral services.
