Billy Joe Hildebran

DURHAM- Mr. Billy Joe “BJ” Hildebran, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Duke Regional Hospital.Mr. Hildebran was born July 23, 1936 to the late Ermon and Mary Hildebran in Hickory, NC. Mr. Hildebran proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard as a CW2 for over 16 years. He owned and operated BJ’s Carpets and Hildebran Motors. Mr. Hildebran was a charter member of Leesville Road Baptist Church. He was a member of the Fred Carpenter Sunday School Class. Mr. Hildebran was a founding member of Lynns Cross Road Ruritan Club and he was a member of McDonalds Coffee Group. Loved golf and racing.Mr. Hildebran is survived by his wife married for 60 years as of October, Barbara Oakley Hildebran of Durham, NC; daughters, Gina Mitchell (Jeff) of Fayetteville, NC, Janna Hildebran of Durham, NC; sister, Andrea Robertson (Alvin) of Durham, NC; sister-in-law, Grace Perry Oakley of Durham, NC; grandson, Kyle of Fayetteville, NC.Pallbearers will be Kenneth Bigham, Nicky Clayton, Linn Oakley, Joe Watson, Robbie Clayton, Allen Beeker. Honorary Pallbearer will be Alvin Robertson.A visitation will be held 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Hudson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Damon Williamson.
