DURHAM- Billy Wayne “Pork Chop” Fowler, Sr., 63, of Durham passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late William Henry Fowler and Mattie Walker Fowler. Billy was of the Baptist faith. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Street and brother, Danny Brice Fowler.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Fowler, son, Billy Wayne Fowler, Jr.; daughters, Kissy Robertson, Ashley Fowler Marrufo; brother, Thomas Howard Fowler; grandchildren, Gavin Robertson, Dylan Robertson, Andrew Fowler, Cody Fowler, Christian Diaz, Austin Diaz and Matteo Marrufo; 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Rev. John Gaither will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Justin Wilson, Jache Harkinson, Jason Robertson, Dylan Robertson, Christian Diaz and Jason Olds.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudson funeralhome.com.
