Bobby Horton Williams

DURHAM- Bobby Horton Williams, 85, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

Mr. Williams was born on April 2, 1935 to Woodrow and Mary Lee Williams in Harnett County, NC. He graduated from Lowes Grove High School and was a member of Bethel Christian Center. Bobby worked as lead carpenter for Williams Construction Company for over 25 years and then worked for Durham Public Schools for 18 years in the maintenance department. He was a devout UNC fan and enjoyed watching their games. Bobby loved the Lord and his church. He will be lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to have known him.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Mary Lee Williams; sons, Mark Anthony Williams and Trent Wilson Williams; and grandson, Zachery Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kay Barbee Williams; son, Tyrone Williams (Lynne) of Durham, NC; brother, Billy Williams of Creedmoor, NC; sister, Joan Marie Barbee (Don) of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Wesley, Bryan, and Wendy Williams; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Bethel Christian Center. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
