RALEIGH- Mrs. Bonnie Dixon Knott, 71, passed away, Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh, NC.
Mrs. Knott was born December 28, 1947 to the late Carlton and Bobbie Dixon in Durham, NC. She graduated from Watts School of Nursing where she obtained her Certfied Nursing Assistant in Home Healthcare. Mrs. Knott attended Roberson Grove Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lions Club for over 10 years and volunteered for the American Legion in Durham. Mrs. Knott enjoyed the mountains, gospel music and attending gospel concerts. She enjoyed racing, but most of all spending time with her family. Mrs. Knott enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered as a loving mother, sister and grandmother who will be so deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her.
Mrs. Knott is preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Bobbie Dixon; son, Rodney Robbins.
Mrs. Knott is survived by her husband, James O. Knott; son, Robby L. Robbins (Cindy), Christopher M. Knott; sisters, Jacqueline Dixon Moore and Belinda H. David; grandchildren, Robby Robbins, Jr., Kentice Robbins and Stephanie Melton (Frank), “Miss” Ellie Knott; great-grandchildren, Franklin Melton, Addyson Melton, Lilly Melton and Camden Glen and other loving family members.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held an hour prior from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Jack O’Neal. A private burial will be held at a later time.
