Brenda Bazen Wright

Ms. Brenda Bazen Wright, 49, a lifetime resident of Durham County passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Brenda was the daughter of the late William (Bill) Bazen. Brenda waged a fierce battle with colon cancer for four years but won her battle by claiming the victory of eternal life.

Brenda was a person who lit up the room with her charm, as she truly never met a stranger. Her profession was that of a certified nursing assistant, at which she excelled. She loved taking care of her former patient, Barbara and her mother, Janet, and thought of them as family. To know Brenda was to love her.

Brenda was so happy to have her precious grandchildren, Leigha and Jadyn here this past year. They loved her as much as she loved them. God’s amazing grace allowed that to happen and we will be forever grateful.

She is survived by her mother who loved her dearly, Rachel Barton and step father, Lenley Barton of Durham; two sons, Kenneth Earl Wright and Timothy Wayne Wright both of Durham; Her sons father, Kenny Wright of Creedmoor; two beloved grandchildren, Leigha Grace and Jadyn Ellis; a sister, Angela Bazen of Holly Springs; brother, William (Billy) Bazen and wife Rose of Wake Forest and brother, Tony Bazen of Beijing China; sister In Law, Joanna Bazen of Gastonia, NC; four step brothers and three step sisters; three special nieces, Brandy Boswell, Rebecca Bazen and Bethany Bazen; great nephew, Gabriel Guizzotti; two special aunts, Frances Foster and Mozelle Porterfield; special cousins; Melony, Jamie, Jay, Mike, Dana, Linda, Ryan, Raymond, Carol, Sabrina and many others. She is also survived by her longtime best friend/fiance’ Kenneth Tilley and her little four-legged friend, Sandy, both of whom she loved dearly.

A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at 1 p.m. at Roberson Grove Baptist Church, 5203 Cheek Road, Durham, NC 27704 on Saturday, December 23, 2017. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 6 to 8pm at Hudson Funeral Home and at other times at her sister, Angela’s home, 1605 Green Oaks Parkway, Holly Springs, NC. Pastor Jack O’Neal will officiate the service and her brother, Pastor Tony Bazen, will present her eulogy. Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to Roberson Grove Baptist church in memory of Brenda Bazen Wright.
