Brenda Fletcher Morris

Mrs. Brenda Fletcher Morris, 79, passed away February 20, 2023.

Brenda was born July 24, 1943, in Durham, NC to the late Clarence and Beulah Warren Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mike Fletcher, J.W. Fletcher, Clarence Fletcher, Jr., Gordan Fletcher, Norman Fletcher, Doris Walters, and Marie Carden.

Brenda served as a preschool teacher at Bethesda Baptist Church, Gorman Baptist Church, and Parkwood Baptist Church for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and going to the beach. Brenda loved her family, whether it was cooking for gatherings or going shopping for her grandchildren, she enjoyed her time with them. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband, Walter H. Morris; children, Brian Morris (Stephanie) and Scott Morris (Kellie); grandchildren, Alex Morris Hoffert (James), Peyton Morris, Madison Morris, Aiden Morris, Ethan Morris, Adelynn Morris, Emersyn Morris, Austyn Morris, and Evan Morris; siblings, Harold Fletcher, Claiborne Fletcher, and Linda Fletcher; brothers-in-law, David Morris and Ricky Morris; as well as several nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Shady Grove Church with a visitation held an hour prior from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Tim McCreight.

Flowers are acceptable.
