Bruce Cornell Little

DURHAM- Mr. Bruce Cornell Little, 94, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Duke Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Bruce was born February 24, 1924 in Durham, NC to the late Sidney and Nicey Little. He was a wonderful husband and loving father. Bruce was very involved in his church and in the community. He was an Insurance Adjuster at R.E. Pratt for many years. Bruce was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church since it was built. He was a Sunday School teacher, Deacon, Parliamentarian of Yates Association, Southern Baptist Convention Board Member, Charter Member of Bethesda Ruritan Club and worked for Gideons International. Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army and graduated from NCSU.
Bruce is preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Lou Little; parents, Sidney and Nicey Little; daughter, Bonnie Evans; sisters, Dorothy Olliff and Carolyn Perry.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gerrie Lou Little; sons, Dwight Cornell Little (Janet), Dr. Sidney Gray Little (Paula), Dr. Barry “Bo” Little (Kelly); daughters, Luanne Goodfellow (John), Pattie Montgomery (Ron), Karen Outland (Dr. Randy Outland); grandchildren, Joshua Little, Ben Little (Meg), Andy Little (Courtney), Paul Outland (fiancé Lindsay), Laura Graham (Chad), Cristan Martin (Seth); great-grandchildren, Rosalee Little, Kaylin Graham, Aiden Graham, Madison Graham, Allison Grace Graham.
Pallbearers will be Ben Little, Jock Smith, Paul Outland, Andy Little, C.L. Ashley and Joshua Little. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Husketh, Leon Massey, Bethesda Ruritan Club Members
Visitation will be held at Bethesda Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Barbee and Rev. Hugh O’Shields. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
