Calvin (Buck) Cooley

TIMBERLAKE- Mr. Calvin Buck LeRoy Cooley, 85, of Timberlake died on Saturday, May 19,2012. He was a native and life long resident of Durham and lived in Timberlake the past 13 years. He was the son of Owen M. Cooley and Tessie Vena Freeman. Mr. Cooley was owner of Cooley’s Car Wash and Laundry Matt in Durham, retired from Sears and Liggett Myers. He served in the Navy Seabees. He was a member of Somerset Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Daisy Bell Cooley and son Lee Wayne Cooley.He is survived by his daughter, Debra Cash of Durham; two grandsons, Jeffrey Gregory Cash (Karen) of Wake Forest; and Kevin Gregory Cash of Durham; two great-grandsons, Leighton and Thomas, one granddaughter, Amber Lee Cooley of Timberlake. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Somerset Baptist Church in Timberlake. Dr. Troy Rust will officiate. Burial will be in Person Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 139 Ann Dr. in Timberlake.
