Calvin J. Holderman

 Calvin J. Holderman, 72, of Durham, North Carolina peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024. He was born on August 11, 1951, in Hazleton, PA to the late Calvin and Mary Holderman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Carrie Gilmore; his brothers, Dale Holderman, James Holderman, Andrew Holderman and sister, Mary Holderman.

Mr. Holderman worked for over 50 years on the 3rd shift as an extruder machine operator, leader, and dedicated employee in Plastics at Bemis Company (currently Amcor Flexibles) until his retirement in 2019. Shortly after his retirement he moved to Durham, North Carolina. 

Calvin was an avid golfer who was a longtime member of the Sugarloaf Golf Club in Sugarloaf, PA where he had many friends. He really enjoyed spending time with his sons’ playing golf or going to their sporting events. Calvin also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Holderman will be remembered as a loving father, who always wanted it better for his children than what he had. He was a wonderful grandfather who doted over his grandchildren and a great man many admired.

Calvin is survived by his sons, Michael Holderman (Jessica), Joseph Holderman (Monica) and Robert Holderman (Doreen); the love of his life, Roxann Holderman; brothers, Leon Holderman, Jack Holderman and David Holderman; sisters, Lois Garcia, Betty Mogilski and Lucille Levitsky; 6 grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.
