Carla Ann Blankenship

Ms. Carla Ann Blankenship, 58, of Oxford passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Hock Family Pavilion.
Carla was born July 9, 1965, in Durham, NC to the late Louis Monroe Blankenship, Jr. and Emily Hayes Blankenship.
Carla was diagnosed with an aggressive Glioblastoma brain tumor 14 months ago and was cared for by her loving sisters during her illness. There were many trips made for milkshakes, with her bestie Sharyn.
Carla’s love for her family was unwavering. Her children were her pride and joy.
Carla never met a stranger and had an infectious personality. She took her friendships seriously and if you were a friend, you were a friend for life.
Carla is survived by her son; Taylor Edwards of Creedmoor, NC; daughters, Bailey Copeland (Travis) of Creedmoor, NC, Paige Runyon (Bobby) also of Creedmoor, NC; sisters, Mindy Blankenship Kempson (Todd Cates), and Tammy Blankenship Pulley (Scott) and best friend Sharyn Gregory.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie Mauldin.
