Carli Nicole Slack

TAMPA Carli Nicole Slack, 19. of Tampa, Florida, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, February 9, 2011.Carli was born in Durham but had lived in Tampa for the past 5 years. She attended Plant High School in Tampa where she was a Honor Student and maintained a straight A’s during her illness. She was a member of the Zeta Club and the Christian Club. While living in Durham she attended Bethesda Elementary, Little River Elementary and Carrington Middle School. She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Edith V. Slack of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Christian Eric Slack of Tampa; two sisters, Cassandra Elizabeth Slack of Raleigh and Cayla Michelle Slack of Tampa; her maternal grandparents; Digna Figueroa and Isidro Velasquez of Tampa; paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Nell and Peter Germann of Durham; paternal grandfather, Larry Slack of Miss.; maternal great-grandmother, Francisca Cortez of Honduras and numerous Aunts and Uncles.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Evangel Assembly of God Church, officiated by Rev. J. B. Ellis. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
