Carol Jacobs Rogers

DURHAM Mrs. Carol Jacobs Rogers, 75, of Durham, died on Monday, January 18, 2016.
Mrs. Rogers was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, daughter of the late William Jacobs and Naomi Marie Frye Byrd. She retired after 37 years with Tip Top Fish House. She was a loving mom and sister who loved her grandkids. She enjoyed crafts especially making bracelets with beads. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene “Buck” Jacobs and sister, Alice Mansfield
She is survived by her son, James “Jamie” Rogers; three brothers, Claborne“Clay” Jacobs, Denny Stanley and Robert Byrd; four grandchildren, David Frederick Whittington, William Robert Rogers, Benjamin James Rogers and Chloe Paige Rogers.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Bethel Christian Center. Pastor Don Westbrook will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
