Carolyn Buckhorn

DURHAM- Mrs. Carolyn Ardale Buckhorn, 68, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Duke University Hospital.Mrs. Buckhorn was born in Tracy, CA on October 9, 1948. Mrs. Buckhorn grew up in the Church of Christ and knew and loved the Lord. She enjoyed watching her grandson Bubba play baseball. She enjoyed her granddaughter Caroline singing and playing music. Mrs. Buckhorn enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos with her sisters when living in Oklahoma. Mrs. Buckhorn simply loved and adored spending time with her family. The love for her daughters was never left unspoken. All three took good care of each other. Mrs. Buckhorn is preceded in death by her husband, Wadie Buckhorn of 40 years; son, Danny Leon Buckhorn; brothers, Carl Wayne McClure and Charles Leon McClure; sisters, Carrie Mae Hemmingway and Linda Lou Moss.Mrs. Buckhorn is survived by her daughters, Paula Armfield (Kevin), Sheila Jarvis (Mark); brothers, Roger McClure (Marie) and Clifford Murphy; sisters; Joann Danger, Patty Hardgraves, and Lanna Oliveira; grandchildren, Caroline Allyson Armfield, Austin Wade Armfield, and Anthony LaSarge, and numerous other loving nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at Hudson Funeral Chapel.
