DURHAM- Mrs. Carolyn Lewis House, 68, of Durham died on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lewis and Elizabeth Jackson . She was of the Baptist Faith. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 7. Retired from Eurest Dining Services after 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Owen House, three sisters, Joanne Carmack Glasgow, Patricia Chambers and Barbara Jean Lewis, one granddaughter, Caroline Baker.She is survived by her daughter, Melony Baker of Durham; one brother, Danny Adams of Raleigh; two sisters, Rachel Bazen Barton , Frances Foster both of Durham; two grandchildren, Krystal Baker and Charles Baker, one great-grandchild, Ava Izabelle Baker. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. John Rigsbee and Rev. Tony Bazen will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Melony Baker, 800 Torredge Rd., Durham. Flowers are acceptable.
