Carolyn Marie Tant

CREEDMOOR Mrs. Carolyn Marie Tant, 73, of 511 Ward Street, Lot 24, died on Thursday, March 12, 2015.

Mrs. Tant was a native of Durham, the daughter of the late William Clifton Crabtree and Mary Ethel Tilley Crabtree. She was a homemaker who will be remembered as loving wife, mother and grandmother, that loved her family. She will be dearly missed by everyone blessed to have known her. She attended Northern Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Michelle Lane.

She is survived by her husband, Willie G. Tant; children, Lorraine Tant Turner, Cliff Tant and Joseph Tant; sister, Frances Cates and husband, Bob; brother, William Clifton Crabtree, Jr.; 10 grandchildren, Heather Turner, Dustin Tant, Michael Tant, Kaitlin Lane, Marty Lane, Jennifer Cisneros (Alex), Brandon Watson, Brittany Tant (fiancé, Justin Strickland), Sarah Tant and C. J. Tant; two great-grandchildren, Cayden Watson and Jaylan Cisneros.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 17th at 2 p.m. at South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home.
