ROSSNew Bern- Mrs. Carolyn Myers Ross, 76, of 302 Drake Landing, New Bern, NC died on Thursday, January 26, 2012. Carolyn was born and resided in Durham most of her life. She retired from General Telephone Company in 1991. She was known best for her kindness and sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Grover and Flora Myers, her brother and six sisters. She is survived by her husband, Charles J. Ross, her daughter Deborah and husband Tommy Reese all of New Bern, NC., her granddaughter Patty and husband Ben Korman of Raleigh, NC. and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Hugh O’ Shields will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Following the service the family will receive visitors at the home of her granddaughter at 3500 Morningside Drive in Raleigh.
