Cary Arnold Fletcher

DURHAM- Mr. Cary Arnold “Butch” Fletcher, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Fletcher was born February 5, 1948 to the late Cary and Mildred Fletcher in Durham, NC. He was a Firefighter in Chapel Hill for 35 years. Mr. Fletcher was an avid collector of watches and knifes. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Mickey Fletcher; nephew, Todd Fletcher.

Mr. Fletcher is survived by his wife, Sheila Fletcher; sons, John Fletcher, Brian Fletcher and Brad Fletcher; grandchildren, Drew Fletcher, Brooke Fletcher, Blake Fletcher, Kendall Fletcher, Allison Fletcher and Amanda Fletcher; brother, Donnie Fletcher; sister-in-law, Leah Fletcher; nephews, DJ, Brandon, Michael “JR”, Chance, and Ivan.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021.
