Cecil Wade Thompson

Durham- Cecil Wade Thompson, 68, of Durham passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015. He was a native and lifelong residents of  Durham, the son of  Nathan Benjamin Thompson and Maggie Gladys Harris Thompson. Cecil served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Rollingview Baptist Church.

Cecil is survived by his brothers, Bobby Edward Thompson of  Eden; Johnny Rufus Thompson of  Raleigh;  sisters, Debra Kay Arnold of  New Jersey; Linda Fay Pennington of  Franklinton and Brenda Lee Barnett of Creedmoor.

Funeral services will be held  on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Rollingview Baptist Church, 1709 Baptist Rd., Durham, NC 27703.  Rev. Aaron Long will officiate. Burial will be in Rigsbee Cemetery on Baptist Rd.  Active pallbearers will be John R. Thompson, Jr., Mike Thompson, Joseph M. Pennington, Richard L. Thompson and Johnny Stanley.
