DURHAM- Mr. Charles Allison Aycock, 87, passed away on October 17, 2021.
Mr. Aycock was born June 13, 1934 to the late Clarence and Bertie Aycock in Durham, NC. Charles attended Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed getting up early, at 5:00 a.m., and meeting his buddies at Grill 46 for breakfast. Charles loved fellowshipping with bluegrass friends, especially at bluegrass festivals. He enjoyed camping with his RV and loved his John Deere Tractor and Mower. Charles will be remembered as a hard-working man who loved his family and helping others. He will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his first wife, and mother of their children, Shirley Johnson; son, Joel K. Aycock; and grandson, James Keith Aycock.
Charles is survived by his wife, Clara T. Aycock; sons, Randy C. Aycock (Janet) and Larry W. Aycock; step-sons, Tony Arnold and Austin Arnold (Cindy); sister, Doris Chisenhall; grandchildren, Dylan Aycock, Stuart Aycock (Kim), Brandon Aycock (Kristina), and Justess Jones (Angela); and great-grandchildren, Bradley Aycock, Sarah Aycock, Grayson Aycock, Isaac Aycock, and Bailey Aycock.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Dylan Aycock, Stuart Aycock, Brandon Aycock, Justess Jones, Austin Arnold, and Joey Guarglia. Serving as an Honorary Pallbearer will be Ralph Denson.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Tim Wheeler. A visitation will be held 2 hours prior from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
