DURHAM Mrs. Chih Chang, 87, of Durham, died on Friday, January 15, 2016.
She was born in the Madou District, Tainan, Taiwan. Her husband, Li-Jen Sun, had passed away in 1990.
Chih, a devoted Buddhist, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was skilled in Chinese cuisine, including making pickled vegetables, jams and fruit wines, and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Chih also loved flowers and gardening. She took great pleasure in traveling, practiced Fragrant Qigong and enjoyed playing gateball.
She is survived by two sons, Ane-pin Sun and his spouse Meei-Day Jean, and Tien-ping Sun; two daughters, Chung-ping Sun and her spouse Lishing Liu, and Tai-ping Sun and her spouse Aron Silverstone; and 8 grandchildren, Weibin Liu, Yijen Liu, Stephanie Sun, Sharyl Sun, Shan-Cheng Sun, Shan-Chiang Sun, Shan-Wei Sun and Esther Shan-mei Silverstone.
