Chris Timothy Wright

STEM- Mr. Chris Timothy Wright, 46, passed away unexpectedly in a work-related accident, Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Mr. Wright was born June 18, 1976, to Connie and Judy Wright in Wake County, North Carolina, but was raised in Durham. Chris attended Southern High School and shortly after joined his father, Connie, in the family business, Wright’s Towing. He was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. He loved kidding around with friends and family. Chris had a nickname for everyone, his own being, Picnic. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, hunting, and was an avid Duke fan. Chris lovingly took care of his mother Judy during her recent illness.

Chris was the definition of a girl dad. He loved to brag about his daughters, Hannah and Hailey, and would drop everything to spend time with his girls. Chris will be deeply missed.

Chris is preceded in death by his father, Connie E. Wright; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Elector Wright; maternal grandparents, Von and Eleanor Ray; and beloved dog, Hershey.

Chris is survived by his daughters, Hannah and Hailey Wright; mother, Judy Wright; brothers, Todd Wright (Renee) and Kenny Wright; nephews and nieces, Kenny Jr., Timmy, Brandon (Holli), Sarah (Tyler), Jessica, Dylan, and Walker; as well as numerous other loving family members.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Olive Branch Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be donated for Hannah and Hailey’s college expenses. Hannah is currently studying Elementary Education at Appalachian State University and Hailey is studying at North Carolina State University.
