Christian Otha Pittman

DURHAM Christian Otha Pittman, 9, of Durham, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 28, 2014.
Christian was born in Durham on March 22, 2005. He attended Glenn Elementary School. He loved school, playing soccer, going to church and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and the “Patch Pirates”. He was a very loving and tenderhearted young man that never met a stranger. He loved going to work with his grandfather. He loved to visit the BP on Broad Street to see his Mama at work. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Dianne Pittman.
He is survived by his mother, Amy S. Pittman, his grandfather, Franklin Walton “Frankie” Pittman; two brothers, Deeshawn Magwood of Roxboro and Desi Chaphin Akins of Durham; one sister, Destini Akins of Durham; nephew, Da’Kari Magwood of Roxboro and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and other times at the home of Kisha and Chiquitta, 131-C Commerce Street in Durham.
