Christopher Royal Smith

DURHAM- Christopher Royal Smith, 66, of Durham passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Chris Wright Smith and Marian Sylvestor Smith. He was an Officer of AMPAC Machinery and Innovator in the Trench Compaction Market. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Smith; children, Mary Fowler (Scott) of Advance, NC; Casey Fowler of Virginia; Jesse Smith of Durham; Heather Smith of Winston Salem; Shelly Anghera (Mike) of California; James Adams (Kelly) of California; brother, Michael Smith of Raleigh; sisters, Betsy Patton (Mike) of Youngsville; and Virginia Smith (Brendan) of SC; numerous nieces and nephews, eleven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery. Reverend Joey Chafton will officiate. Following the Graveside Service a Celebration of Life Reception will follow at the Diamond Sky Box at the Durham Bulls Park.
